Amy has been an English teacher for 19 years in the state of New Jersey. She has taught all levels and abilities in her high school, located in a small suburban district outside New York City that has a small town feel because of its size. She earned a Master’s degree in English and is certified as a Supervisor. For the last five years, Amy has taught mainly at the honors and Advanced Placement levels. Although she has taught for so many years, she sees each year as an opportunity to create something new in her classroom. Amy finds herself constantly changing how she approaches literature and the study of writing to reach students by appealing to their unique ways of learning.

Ashok is currently a Mathematics teacher in the Edexcel Education System at the University of London. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pure Mathematics as well as a Master’s in Computational Mathematics.

Camille is entering her ninth year as an art educator. She graduated with her BA in Studio Art from Denison University in 1999 and her MAT from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2003. Camille moved from Houston, TX to Baltimore, MD in 2000 and hasn’t looked back since! She has worked at St. Paul’s School teaching students in grades K-4 for the past six years and continues to be impressed and amazed every day by her students.

Catherine has been teaching high school Spanish for the last 18 years. She earned a BA in Spanish Literature and Secondary Education from Hunter College of the City University of New York and a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University. Additionally, Catherine is a National Board Certification Candidate and the current President of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese of Kentucky.
Fine Arts – Sugarland, TX
Donna has been teaching for 23 years and now serves as the district facilitator for visual arts teachers in FBISD. She teaches Art I, Drawing II, Drawing III, AP Studio Drawing, AP 2D Design, and Electronic Media Photoshop classes. She has served as a new teacher mentor for FBISD Project INVEST and is now recognized as a “Master Teacher” for TAEA and serves as a mentor teacher for high school art teachers across Texas. In addition to numerous honors over the years, she recently earned National Board Teacher Certification. Donna was just named 2010-2011 “Art Teacher of the Year” among high school Houston area art teachers.
Social Studies – Kingsville, MD
Elizabeth is a teacher at Notre Dame Preparatory School. Over the past eleven years, she has taught Social Studies and Spanish to students in grades 6-8 as well as at the high school level. She holds a BA in Foreign Language and Communication Media. She earned a MA in American History and a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology. Elizabeth is a certified Maryland teacher at the secondary level in Social Studies and Spanish.

Erick is a 5th-year high school math teacher with a Master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. He has a significant amount of experience using graphing calculators, SMART boards, interactive web sites, java applets, and more in the classroom. He is excited about the opportunity to extend his capability to use technology. Erick is currently teaching at Churchill County High School in Fallon, Nevada.

Iliana currently teaches all subjects in fourth grade at a Baltimore City Public School. After switching from the public relations sector to the education field, Iliana was challenged and motivated to do more. She received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University. Currently, Iliana is attending the Johns Hopkins School of Education working on a Master’s in Administration and Supervision.

Jennifer is currently teaching mathematics at Darien High School in Darien, Connecticut. In addition to obtaining her advanced certificate in educational administration, Jennifer has receieved her M.A. in mathematics education at Teachers College, Columbia Universtiy and a B.E.E. from Villanova University. She has been an editor for Eduware Software and a contributor to Wiley and Sons calculus materials. She is also a Texas Instruments T^3 Reginal Instructor helping teachers best utilize handheld technology in the classroom.
Fine Arts – Phoenix, AZ
Joani is an artist, educator and life long learner. She teaches Visual Arts and is the Fine Arts Department Chair at Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Joani teacesh all levels of students from Studio Art I to AP/Dual Enrollment. Teaching art allows her to help students prepare for the future as problem solvers and creative thinkers.

Kim Eggerton is an online writing tutor for Smarthinking and an online teaching assistant for Ashford University. In the previous seven years, she has taught all levels of high-school English, including Advanced Placement, in Maryland, Israel, and Costa Rica. After being tapped to be a technology integration consultant, she attempted to incorporate the latest Web 2.0 tools into all her classes, including yearbook and journalism. Levi is currently the Math Instructional Support Teacher and AP Calculus teacher at Northwestern High School in Baltimore City. Levi has a BA in Mathematics from Albion College. He entered teaching through the Baltimore City Teaching Residency and took his certification classes through Johns Hopkins University. He is currently pursuing an MS in Educational Technology through Boise State University.

Linda is the Technology Coordinator at St. Ursula School, a K-8 Catholic school in Parkville, MD. She brings with her classroom experience spanning various grade levels and currently teaches technology to grades 1-8. She also provides technological support and professional development to the faculty and staff. In addition to her technology duties, Linda is the Local Administrator of PowerSchool, the Student Information System of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Linda has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Notre Dame of Maryland University where she provided technical assistance to students and instructors. She has also been a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Goucher College, teaching online and face-to-face technology courses.

Lisa Schell has been teaching mathematics (everything from Algebra I to AP Statistics) for over 20 years. She has been active in incorporating technology in the classroom and was asked to be a presenter for both the State Conference of CFF Coaches (How to Incorporate Technology in the Math Classroom) and the Blended School’s Conference (Combining the Traditional Classroom and On-Line Learning). She also developed the original Data Mining project for Solanco School District to help the staff make data-driven decisions

Madelaine is a National Board Certified Teacher who serves as English Leader at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, PA. She has taught for eight years, spearheading improvements in her school’s Advanced Placement program and classroom technology integration. Her passion for technology and research has led to presentations at the Press Club, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Her students’ high interest in learning through technology motivates her to be on the lookout for the next big thing that will bring energy into her classroom.

Mark is a multidisciplinary artmaker and visual art educator. He encourages personal development of visual literacy in learners through the combined exploration of design, photography, traditional two-dimensional and three-dimensional materials, and digital visual medias. He is the District Visual Arts Coordinator for North Kansas City Schools and teaches Advanced Placement Studio Art, Advanced Visual Art Photography, Graphic Design, and 2D Medias. He is also an adjunct faculty member for the Kansas City Art Institute where he teaches graduate level studio art courses. Anderson developed an award-winning online Advanced Placement Art History course, which he teaches through University of Missouri-Columbia.

Ruth’s teaching experience spans twenty years and includes classroom K-12 as well as online high school courses. She currently teaches Drawing and Painting, Photography, Art History, Graphic Design, and AP Studio Art at Thunder Ridge High School and Colorado Cyber School in Colorado. Ruth has a Master’s in Educational Technology from Lesley College and a B.S. in Art Education from Kent State University.

Math – Belle Mead, NJ
Walter received a double B.S. in physics and mathematics from The Cooper Union, an M.S. in physics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He spent over 20 years as a research scientist at the Sarnoff Corporation in the fields of electron optics and digital video compression. In 2000, he was part of a research team that received a technical Emmy award for a joint project with Tektronix that used a mathematical model of the human vision system to calculate an objective measure of digital picture quality. Since 2010 he has been at Montgomery High School in Skillman, N.J. teaching both physics and mathematics.
